Madeline lives in Sineku and loves meeting people. She has
been making baskets since 1973.
Madeline told me that she does not sell her
baskets to tourists she sells them to vendors who buy them in bulk.
She also travels to Guadeloupe where her
baskets are sold on the beach front.

]]>I personally recommend the Kempinski hotel, it’s the best I’ve stayed in while visiting Dominica. It’s a beautiful 5 star hotel, resorts and spa. I was completely taken away when I first arrived by how luxurious and gorgeous it looked. I was received by a young man at the entrance who took my luggage and escorted me to the reception where I booked a room and was taken to my room.
I found the staff to be friendly and helpful during my stay and I enjoyed exploring the hotel quite a bit; the bar, restaurant and swimming pools were all fantastic and so posh, I was really impressed by the full service the provide. I cannot express how wonderful I found my experience there so I suggest you come down for a visit and treat yourself.
