Being positive with yourself

E veryone has got negativity in themselves, even I have got negativity in myself too, but I push that away and think good things, it’s hard. To stay positive is a good thing and it works with the universe, ok I will explain it to you. If you want a car or a ring what- ever it is, write it down and stick it on your fridge so every day you look at what you want and say to yourself I want this car, I am going to get this car no matter what this car is going to be mine. Right now you have got a picture of the car in your mind no matter what you ask for you will get it no matter how small it is it will work, it’s has happened to me and my friends.

Also you must relax your mind, have time for yourself, it hard to, but by you relaxing and thinking good things, it will work being positive. Every morning you say to yourself it’s going to be a good day, if you think bad, bad will be with you all day, sometimes the reason why things happen we don’t know.

By being positive with yourself and with other people you will notice the difference, let me explain it to you…. I was in Roseau, I was watching a homeless man asking for food, he went and asked a man to buy him something to eat, the young man shouted at the homeless man saying no I am not spending my money on you, so I went and bought the homeless man something to eat and drink he was so happy with what I got him. He said I was blessed.

Two days after, I saw the homeless man again he came to me and gave me 4 dollars and told me to buy myself a drink which I did. So you see what I mean, no matter how small it is you always get a reward at the end, the sun will shine on you all day by being positive and having good thoughts and think good on other people don’t worry if they say bad things on you, just be yourself and think good and you will be blessed.

Turmeric

Turmeric is an excellent anti septic and skin lightener that helps minimise scars and other marks.

Mix one tablespoon of turmeric powder with lemon juice.
Add two spoonfuls of water to make a paste.
Apply the paste to your face and leave for 10 minutes.
Then wash it off with lukewarm water.

Your skin will look clear and feel soft.

Honey

Honey is a great moisturize with anti bacterial properties that helps ward off infection.

Apply the honey to your face.

Let it dry for 15 minutes
Then rinse it off with lukewarm water

Tomatoes

Tomatoes can be used as a face scrub, to remove acne and blackheads. It is rich in vitamins C and can be use once a week.

Prepare your mixture :

Add one tea spoon of sugar, one tea spoon of honey and tomato which has been squeezed and mix.
Cleanse your skin and wipe off with damp cotton wool
Add mix to your face leave for 5 minutes wash off with warm water then rinse with cold water and damp face with a clean, fresh towel.

You will see the different your face will glow.

Would you ever cheat on your woman?

I asked three men. ‘Would you ever cheat on your ladies?’

This is what they said –

This is what the first man said to me:

‘I love my girlfriend so much I wouldn’t do anything like that. It would hurt her, and she would leave me if she found out.’ I asked him – ‘have you ever bought her flowers or a gift?’ He said ‘if I brought her flowers she will say why am I buying her flowers. I know my woman, I know what she’s like, so I decided to buy her a diamond ring and we are getting married next year.’

I asked a second man, a young man from Portsmouth:

‘Would you ever cheat on your lady?’

He says ‘Look at me‘ and laughs.

He told me, ‘It’s my lady who is cheating on me and I still take her back.’ He told me yes, I do look at other women and to tell you the truth I don’t cheat on my lady. He said, ‘Which Dominican man don’t cheat on their lady?’

He also asked ‘what about the ladies? Don’t they cheat on their men?’

I asked a third man, a young man from castle Bruce in his 30’s:

‘Would you ever cheat on your lady and if you did what would she say?’ This is what he said to me – ‘why is it me you ask? All the men who are around me and it’s me you ask!’

The answer is – ‘Yes, why not? If I see a nice lady, looking good and nice long legs – you want me to say no? Not me boy. When she sees me, she has to run to me and plus I don’t have a woman and if I did and I ever cheat on her I know she will hit me with a pot on my head like my ex.’

So I ask again: ‘So you do cheat on your lady?’ He looks at me and laughs.

Chinese Whispers

A game in which a message is distorted by being passed around in a whisper.

Dominican people like to talk about other people not all of them some of them, you cannot do anything without them saying anything about you or someone else, they will examine you from head to foot like an X-ray to see what you are wearing and who you are speaking to and what you are cooking and who is coming round for food, and what you wearing for church and so on.

I heard someone saying look at this lady Mary look what she is wearing Papa the trouser is too tight on her mama where she is going with that, but the two woman watching her what colour is her trousers and so on, but she will not talk about herself, with her short skirt and her tummy role over her skirt and she think she look nice, come on woman think about what you are wearing and leave the poor woman alone.

Dominican people never mind their own business they have nothing better to say then talk about other people, one will pass by to visit a another friend saying hello Mary how are you, you okay and Sue will reply saying I am okay Mary, now the news starts

Mary will say to sue please don’t say nothing but I saw your husband jack speaking to another woman I don’t know he was saying to her but he had his arm around her shoulder and both of them was laughing.

Come on woman you don’t know what they conversation about.

People take things the wrong way and make it into a big thing.

The poor man will come home and Sue will start saying “someone told me you were speaking to a woman and you had your arm around her shoulder and you both were laughing.”

Jack asks “who told you that?”.

Sue replies “John’s wife”

Jack explains,” I was speaking to she was telling she won the lottery and I was happy for her and I put my arm around her shoulder, and she told me to bring my wife and we all can go for a meal and I will pay, so that was when I laughed”

Now you see what I mean that what you called Chinese whisper, People take things the wrong way all because one person who twisted the whole thing around and make it to a big thing.

No matter what you all say about other people your turn will come and someone will talk about you, so be good to people because it can be you.

My visit to Kempinski Hotel in Dominica

I personally recommend the Kempinski hotel, it’s the best I’ve stayed in while visiting Dominica. It’s a beautiful 5 star hotel, resorts and spa. I was completely taken away when I first arrived by how luxurious and gorgeous it looked. I was received by a young man at the entrance who took my luggage and escorted me to the reception where I booked a room and was taken to my room.

Beds & Baths

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful during my stay and I enjoyed exploring the hotel quite a bit; the bar, restaurant and swimming pools were all fantastic and so posh, I was really impressed by the full service the provide. I cannot express how wonderful I found my experience there so I suggest you come down for a visit and treat yourself.
